Medical Practices for Physicians, Hospice Agencies, Pharmacies and Home Health Care.
Medical Practices and Pharmacies are funded through a variety of sources which can include private insurance, Medi-Cal, Medicare, Veteran benefits and private pay. Most operate as independent operators or are part of a medical group. They are licensed through the Medical Board and Dept. of Consumer Affairs Board of Pharmacy.
Home Health Care Agency:
These agencies provide skilled nursing and, frequently, other services in the home, including continuous care and home care aide services. These agencies specialize in working with private insurance companies, although many are also certified to accept Medicare or Medi-Cal. Services provided by these agencies are similar to those provided by Medicare-certified home health agencies. Home health agencies are certified by the state of California.
Hospices provide a specialized interdisciplinary program designed to provide palliative care to the terminally ill, and supportive care for the primary caregiver and family members. Medicare-certified hospices must meet the Hospice Medicare Conditions of Participation. New California hospices must also be licensed by the State of California.
- Pharmacy: A Pharmacist who owned three (3) pharmacies decided to retire after 35 years of practice. He wanted to sell one of his pharmacies located in the Los Angeles area with the inventory. We helped a client who is also a Pharmacist operating four (4) different pharmacies in Orange County with the acquisition to expand in the Los Angeles area.
- Medical Practice: A semi-retired Physician who has been a solo practitioner in North Orange County for the last 37 years finally admitted to himself that it was time to retire and sell his practice. One of our clients, a young Hospitalist at a prestigious Orange County hospital realized that he always wanted to own a business so he hired our services to acquire the Medical Practice.
- Home Health Care:
A Physician decided to sell his Home Health Care Agency after 11 years in the industry to start an import/export business. A-Med Realty Group was able sell the Agency to a Registered Nurse who owned a Hospice to expand her business.
